Trickle Down Theory

Almost FOUR YEAR OLD VIDEO stating that AEMD is designing a hemopurifier for battlefield situations and that they should be good to go by the end of 2011. Then the ideal situation arises in West Africa in late 2014 to carry out the hemopurifier's mission, replete with over 1,000 U.S. military personnel overseeing mobile quarantine and ebola care sites and all that is missing is the hemopurifier and portable dialysis machine.
If you want to argue that that is not AEMD's fault, fine, but after one probable successful attempt in Germany SOMEBODY needed to step up and demand hemopurifiers for West Africa since that fits the purpose of the April, 2011 video perfectly.
It was a win for everybody, the military gets to test out hemopurifiers, West Africans get additional medical care, everybody gains knowledge from the experience. lives are possibly saved.
Instead the focus of AEMD is clinical trials and another round of imminent fund raising and one has to wonder what went wrong with DARPA.
