B19 actually your question helps illustrate the distinct advantages of Sport over the DaVinci .
The reason the arms are placed far apart is due to the limited range of motion and to prevent robotic arm clashing and to reduce interference ( mostly due to poor range of motion compared to the snake like arms of the Sport system ) . I know this is obviously all very new to you but the arms still work in concert at the same location . As Dak pointed out this procedure is done with 2 arms as surgeons you are trained with all life lessons and techniques using 2 hands .
The SPORT system would have no issues performing this procedure , Please be aware retraction will be needed no matter the approach to operate a specific area . Even the rotating table ( laughing ) will need retraction that's just the way surgery works !
B19 you could drive a car using 3 arms for sure what would feel more comfortable and easy 2 hands driving or 3 handed driving ? I know that seems silly but it's an attempt for you to realize a third arm is not the huge plus you obviously imagine it to be ,
The gastrosplenic ligament contains a row of vessels between the spleen and stomach it is not an area where one arm is working on one side of the abdomen and the other arm on the other side !
I dare say SPORT could not only easily compete via this procedure but reduce the entrances to the abdomen by 1,,,,, yes I know retraction means we are not working entirely through one single port but neither is any system including the gorilla in the room.
