Good post Steph. In my opinion... the key to this problem is held by Turkey, vi sa vi the Kurdish situation. If the Turks would step in with their Army to support the Kurds this thing would be over in a few months, maybe weeks. But Turkey, and Iraq, need to make the very tough decision to create an autonomous Kurdish state including territory in both of their countries. The courageous Kurds have been exploited and enslaved and murdered for centuries, by both the Turks and the Sunni Iraqis and they deserve to have their own country. JMO, I've studied the history. Don't hold your breath until the US jumps into this... anybody in the State Department that understands this history as I do is laughed at.
