I think ivfh stood to gain either way, merger or not, getting sysco as a partner like us foods while they are separate companies isnt bad for ivfh. Nobody thought it would take a year and still nobody knows if it will go through or not. but the U.S foods contract renewal with ivfh shows business will go on as usual.
