#35123 RE: 1990Flstf #35102

No prob. Horrible situation happened here last Sunday on Lake Winnebago. A Dad and his 8 year old were out on the ice when they hit a weak patch and their vehicle went thru about 630AM. Others out on the lake saw it but couldn't do anything. After 2 hours or so under, Divers got them out and the Dad was gone but they brought the 8 year old back but he too died 5 days later on Friday. Very sad event.

They were driving near the crack that develops 30 miles long North to South every year due to the size of the Lake. The Bar owners put bridges out to drive over the crack as it can open and close several feet during the course of a day based on wind conditions etc... It sounds like they weren't familiar with the lake.

Even with the cold weather, it's tough on some of the lakes here this winter.

How about you? Been out fishing?
