When I started flying commercial in late '50s to present, the terms were:
Fly from A to C with no stops was called 'Non Stop Flight'.
Fly from A to B to C without changing Planes was called a 'Direct Flight.
Fly from A to B and change Planes, to C was called a 'One Stop En-route to Destination'. Where B could be multiple stops to C.
Not a big deal unless one is working with an intelligent travel agent and knows the what for.
Baltia is hoping to fly "Non-Stop to St. Petersburg, Russia from JFK/NYC.
