Its really best described this way: A little kid and all his friends believe that the square root of 64 is 7. They go on believing this for a long time. So much so, they start telling all the other kids and it becomes engrained as truth. Then one day they tell their tale to some older, smarter and better educated kids. When they find out the answer isn't 7, they just keep on running with it to save face. And since none of them can go ask their teacher what the right answer is because they're all dropouts, they go on the rest of their lives believing the answer is 7. They just never learn. I know...not a happy ending but all they had to do was go back to school and get the right answer. Sad.
