both before and after the 2006 season, which happened to be the year Brady and Peyton Manning pushed for a rule change which allowed each team to provide their own footballs for games.


When you think about deflategate the NFL only has itself to blame for allowing the rule change because Manning and Brady wanted it changed.

It would be like Messi or Ronaldo in soccer, both of who make more money than Manning and Brady, asking FIFA to use their own balls in a soccer match when they are the home team.

Or a MLB team saying we don't like the Rawlings baseball we want to use Spaldings when we are the home team. Or they want to use the NCAA baseball as opposed to the MLB. And yes there is a difference, just ask any pitcher.
