GCEI will be extracting PGM from the EOL catalytic convertors. Those PGM will then be sold back to manufacturers of catalytic converters. Regarding vehicle emissions, governments will likely decrease the number of permissible air pollutants in an effort to “go green” (preserve the environment).

High vehicle emission standards = need for catalytic converters

Boost in auto sales = increased need/demand for catalytic converters

Increased need/demand for catalytic converters = increased demand for PGM
