To be sure, we are all confused. I don't think anyone can really say with certainty what their plans are. Some on the board will be quick to say "You don't know??? Well I do" but will never care to state what it is they "know".
Both of your statements are true. Heavily shorted stocks are great for us when news is coming. This type of shorting is typical with biotechs. Look at ONVO for example. The company practically outright refuses to post updates and thusly gives shorts enormous windows for manipulating the stock. And the news they do come out with is not particularly huge news that forces shorts to cover. They also fail to keep momentum going when they do release any news. So shorts know there usually isn't follow up news shortly after to worry about.
And yes to the company not knowing what they're doing. This is also typical of micro cap small cap stocks who take their ideas to the market too early and arent typically ready for that type of attention. They raised money for themselves but the investors take the punishment until the company can produce.
I was in another dead biotech for 2 years. The third year? It's gone from $5 to closing today at $56. If you want to know the ticker just look at my recent posts. I do believe in ONVO that's why I'm still here. But it's incredibly frustrating to have to change my time table to years not months. That's also very frustrating when the board keeps wanting to claim $12-$15 is "here" when in reality it absolutely is not.
I know I'm a cynic and even annoying. But I also know I'm truthful outside of honest mistakes. Thanks for the interest and helping to keep the board a balanced view.
