Duke...per various (conflicting) reports it appears as though Samsung will be making their own QD's (with the help of some Nanosys patent data they apparently licensed): http://www.nanosysinc.com/press-releases/2015/1/5/nanosys-quantum-dot-technology-creates-more-immersive-energy-efficient-displays
LG is said to be using Nanoco QD's by-way-of Dow: http://www.dow.com/news/press-releases/article/?id=9704 I have no idea what went into Samsung or LGs' QD selection process , although I'd suspect it may have been the result of more time having been spent qualifying our competitors offerings , which have been around longer than our (comparatively recent) optimized productline. I don't know that QMCs' gQD's are ready for primetime or whether they're being sold as yet. QMC has had more time to develop & perfect their TQD's , so I'd expect some form of QD's , TQD's , metal oxides or perhaps something involving Dr.J's P/E printing patent to be our 1st sales...but I have no info on whether any sales have occurred with those products as yet either...wish I did.

As you can see from their website, Dow is pretty familiar with the display industry. Among their products are a couple of OLED layers. (Probably safe to assume they have existing relationships with LG.) I'd guess they have a good grasp of the performance requirements of the OEMs they are working with. Also, with their decades of film experience, it would not be a shock if they were providing the QDs on a substrate or film.
