Not sure whether Geopolitical conditions have much impact on the Biotechnology industry, matter of fact that is the hottest sector in past few months, plenty of M&A, licensing agreements etc,
IMHO - ( correct me if you think otherwise) Dr. Frost buys OPK for 2 reasons
1) he has the dough :) but insiders buy for one reason only - they believe that stock is heading north!
2) I truly believe that by accumulating he basically prevent any unfriendly takeover by Ackman, Ichan, Loeb etc ,,,as he owns the bulk of outstanding shares he can reject them at the door. He will sell OPK eventually but he is looking for the right multiple:). Remember the Doktah has no children - OPK is his baby! And the means for his Legacy.
BTW - days of shorting OPK are behind us, LONG is the only wise choice.
