Let's stop with the R/S speculation. It simply makes no sense for a R/S to take place anytime in the near future so let's put that to bed. Hoping, or wishing for it to happen is a waste of energy and a waste of time for other readers. The company gains nothing by agreeing to a R/S for reasons already outlined. Let's focus on what we do know instead of making up crap.
It may not make sense to you, but it is a real possibility as we move through this year if they can't obtain financing through other means. Once a stock hits .0001/.0002 with this many shares, then options for financing start to dry up. It becomes less and less attractive for credible outside investors to take a chance.
When that happens, companies try a reverse split to hopefully make the share price more attractive. It seldom works without strong financials to back it up and that is why the price immediately starts a backward trend. You say it makes no sense...often that is not a criteria for the decision.
