I think the purpose of the article is to point out that when democrats act like democrats, people respond. Obama wasted too many years trying to do deals with the repubs when we all knew, no matter what he did...whatever compromises he offered, they were determined to say no to everything. He's finding his progressive voice and people like it.
A democrat running in the midterm wouldn't even admit she voted for Obama, SHE LOST! Along with every other dem who ran on "Obama who"?
The candidates who stood up for our progressive values...all won. If that isn't a lesson learned, than they should all go home.
The best message Obama can give tonight is to say that his #1 goal for the next two years is to make Mitch McConnell a one term majority leader. lol
