Im not your marketing expert however I see this as having a great impact on getting lots of new Fizz drinkers very quickly in SoCal. They are advertising there now so why not give those first customers that heard or saw the ads a sweet deal to either share the Fizz with others or to get hooked on it themselves. If the promotion lasts for months I'd be concerned but for this launch with our first ad campaign Im up for hitting the ground running!

Based on the amount of product on the shelves of that cooler, this is anything but a desperation move. This kind of deep discount, in desperation, is done with very little product available to finish up the SKU# and move onwards.

This is clearly a "we're so confident you'll become a regular customer, we'll sell you a few bottles under cost" move, imo.

3 to 1 sounds kind of extreme, I have to agree. I would think maybe a buy one and get one half off, or free. If I were MINE I would have perhaps a raffle with people giving the chance to win Free cases of Fizz. Raffles usually peek the interest of consumers.

What we need is to have someone call the Walgreens and talk to the manager there. Is it one store? Multiple stores? Was this 'sale' initiated by Mine or Walgreens? Maybe the promotion was Walgreens idea. We won't know till someone in the area talks to them. Any volunteers? I just can't be making phone calls during the day. I still have my day job until we get to $1 a share lol

I owned a distributorship for the Thomas bagels, muffins, etc. line and there were plenty of times that the product was offered as buy one, get two free.

If Fizz wants to follow the same marketing strategy as a big player, them have it!
