My understanding is that Wyse utilizes RDP... their product may be an improvement within the existing technologies, but is not a disruptive technology... GW has efficiencies that the current techonology cannot touch... which makes it disruptive... why did Dell buy Wyse, but not yet ANY... simply put Wyse was for sale at a price Dell could reach (purchase price has not been disclosed) and ANY is not for sale at a comparable price... speculation on my part... my wag...
do not be depressed... if Wyse provided all the answers, there would have been absolutely no reason to install glassware on the Dell server, and glassware is most certainly in the latest, greatest Dell server... what is Michael Dell up to? He went private in part so he did not have to answer such questions. He is transforming DELL into a cloud play... private companies are afforded greater stealth... perhaps this is why the DELL/ANY relationship involving glassware has never been publicly announced... because Michael Dell does not want it announced... jmo... if i have erred, i invite corrections and comments from those with greater technological savy, i just don't think Wyse and Sphere 3d are playing in quite the same leagues...
