The only question is why does a puboic company require a NDA? The only reason I can see is to discourage potential new shareholders and thus suppress the sp with lack of new buyers. It seems to be working. And why would it want to do that? To be able to take the company private as at low a price as possible.

So it actually makes perfect sense.

No problem here with NDA or getting information either. Kind of puzzling what the problem is with that.
