That observation serves to emphasize GILD's great familiarity with liver and attendant disease being already extant. It is already moving into oncology arena, as its pipeline shows, and its management is superior to most. It will be a competitor for any acquisition/collaboration with UTSW/PPHM in the liver arena, perhaps other oncology areas as well, not to mention its current trials in cardiovascular disease.
