Not strange at all. Here's what is happening in my opinion based on what I have seen over the years in the past on situations like this one...
The transaction has probably gone through.
Last minute unforeseen incidentals dictated a need to cover a few costs.
There is a group of loyal followers out there who are probably averaged out in the 3 to 4 range.
Company needs to raise some money, the loyal group can pick up some last minute shares and lower their average...a win win for all.
Everyone needs to hear this and pay very close attention based on today's activity...again based on what I've seen over the years and the tendencies with the stock involved...
Today may be your very last day...no check that...today is probably your last day to get in before the run.
