I live within 2 miles of TMI. I have to say, the discount on my utilities is very nice.

Just as an off topic fyi, I remember a test reactor the Germans had (all the good engineers are German..) that never went super critical even after the cooling rods were pulled. If memory serves, the fuel pellets were encased in ceramic or some other element. If I recall, it was off line for more then 48 hours.

Nuclear power can be safe, we just don't do it the right way.
