Thanks Stingray...It may have a low unemployment rate because many have given up looking for work and are no longer counted in the unemployment statistics. Nebraska is a conservative Republican state...Republicans historically are against new or higher taxes. Elk Creek doesn't need obstacles at this stage...this tax could be a big obstacle in the mines development and financing. I'll be sending E-mail messages to Nebraskan legislative representatives today....I hope other members of this board will join me.

I see this as a huge positive in terms of confidence in our project. Isnt that we all need as investors, is that is gets built? This latest news proves that we are going to get it done This bill will go nowhere, just another polititian trying anything to look good. Its a Republican state, they just passed the Keystone bill, we have Tony Fulton and i'm sure NB is all over this. 100% of ELK creek want it and it will create over 1200 jobs initially, this guy would take a big political hit if he goes against the mine in anyway.
