from what i remember having owned them in the past, their mines are in northern Australia and I remember Bill Bonner remarking he did not like their geology which meant their costs were always going to be high.
Crocodile Gold has actually done a good job the last few years getting costs down and production up, but the biggest problem with the company is that it is majority-owned by hedge fund sharks in the shape of Luxor Capital, a particularly rapacious bunch who on the basis of their past activities don't appear to give two hoots about the regular shareholders.
