Over the years I have saved a lot of money by never investing in any diabetic ulcer treatment.
Part of the issue is that the control patients in the trial get really good wound care (much better than they would in the "real world") and so get better at an alarming (for the company) rate.
Likely some day I will be proved wrong and some drug or treatment will actually work in a trial, but not a bet I am ever prepared to take.
