I thought about new tech dropping in 5 years. It was the thing that kept me on the fence for a while. But to make solar obsolete...I don't know. Why are we investing in SLTD if we're worried about that? I think companies like SLTD will improve solar, and that's ok, because I'll still save on my bill with my current panels.
In the end, I took a chance because right now and into the foreseeable future, these panels are a good option. I have equity in my house, so if I made the wrong decision, I'll eat the cost to remove the system. But until then, I'll be saving on electricity.
