He didn't imply anything of the sort. I basically read it as a RS might or might not happen, he does not know. But if it were to be done, it will not be done for the service of debt holders, which you implied here: "Because if there was a reverse split instead of a share buyback and retirement, it would be almost exclusively for the debtholders to convert their notes into shares."
He was simply responding to your comment. All in all, I think it's an encouraging post but somewhat counter intuitive because if one does not know if a RS will be coming then how does one know what it will be used for.
