Sounds like you are talking about "madman markum", a "time machine inventor, who indeed did come forth many times, on coast to coast am, to update whoever would listen, about his progress & development of his time machine...and as off the wall as that is, what strikes me as in contrast to the apparent secrecy and/or very thin, meatless tidbits thrown at us "mushrooms" by vplm, markum, after having obtained some big transformers for his experimental machine, in a very questionable way (he took them from some side of the road place where the local power company had left then sitting unsecured for some time) & he was accused of stealing them. He came on the show and when asked about it, he totally owned up to it & explained himself & made no excuses, for the whole world to hear. In contrast, we are told about the apparent giveaway of 10% of the company, with very little detail, no followup or update since & we have come to believe that everything (everything for vplm, is pretty much only 1 thing) is on hold & in limbo, while investors sit & twist on the wind about it & the leader steps down w/o an explanation. I wonder if it was "a presidential advisement" that led to that. That was not too cool in my opinion..
