Sales estimates were stated as annual projections...but not for the first year. Those figures are the amounts the company expects to generate in those regions eventually, given the market.
Sales projections that large could only come from a history of previous sales and/or contracts that were already in place. Not the same as saying the company will generate $5M in the first year.
