Cherryview Benchmark

http://gfxbench.com/device.jsp?benchmark=gfx30&os=Windows&api=dx&D=Intel(R)%20CherryView%20HD%20Graphics

Manhattan Offscreen: 17.6 FPS
T-Rex Offscreen: 32.9 FPS

Looks like Cherryview gets a ~1.8x boost over Baytrail with this initial submission, though we may see better scores later (and I'll note that Baytrail submissions improved about 20-30% since initial scores, which I recall had about 7 FPS in Manhattan). Still, it's hardly enough to compete with the higher performance SOCs. nVidia has pretty much left everyone in the dust with Tegra X1 (at about 3.6x higher FPS), and even Apple A8X is 2x faster. Looks like Qualcomm has also fallen behind nVidia and A8X - though if Snapdragon 810 delivers the claimed 30% more performance than Adreno 420, it should compare quite favorably to Apple A8.

Compared to these, Cherryview is at best a mid-range product. It's a decent successor to Baytrail, but probably won't sell for much better pricing. I hope it will at least lower silicon and platform costs enough that Intel can end (or dramatically reduce) their contra-revenue rebates.

For comparison (Manhattan, T-Rex):

Best Baytrail Submission: 9.6 FPS, 17.9 FPS
Nokia N1 (Moorefield) Submission: 13.0 FPS, 30.2 FPS
Best Exynos (with ARM Mali-T760) Submission: 17.3 FPS, 37.6 FPS
Best Adreno 420 Submission: 19.0 FPS, 43.2 FPS
Apple A8 (iPhone 6 Plus) Submission: 19.2 FPS, 45.1 FPS
Apple A8X Submission: 32.7 FPS, 70.4 FPS
Tegra K1 (Shield Tablet): 31.6 FPS, 64.9 FPS
Tegra X1 Reference Platform: 63.4 FPS (Manhattan only)
