Social Security and Medicare are the two major "Entitlement Programs" Paul Ryan wants to "reform". That's what politicians mean when they talk about "entitlement programs".

That and other welfare programs like disability payments for disabled veterans - which is why these welfare payments are not included in the military budget.

Do try to keep up.

Ronald Reagan used the surplus tax revenue generated by the Social Security and Medicare taxes to subsidize income tax rates for those in the top tax bracket, which is why Mitt Romney pays only a combined 13% in Social Security, Medicare and Income Taxes on his $22 million in annual income. If we don't cut-off welfare recipients like yourself when you're older, Romney will have to pay three times as much in income taxes! Your continued existence when you're old is simply not worth imposing that sort of cost on a celebrated wealth creator like Mitt.

Since Ronald Reagan handed out your Social Security taxes and Medicare taxes as income tax subsidy gifts to the top earning Americans, your Social Security benefits are simple welfare, which need to be provided by taxes paid by taxpayers who work hard for a living. Just to support lounging elderly Americans as they hang out at "leisure centers".

SS is not an entitlement

Okay, then what do you consider an 'entitlement'?

"SS is not an entitlement" - tell that to Paul Ryan (R-Wisconsin)...SS has been on Ryan's radar screen for years and since Repubs are now in charge of both houses, teabaggers who supported Ryan may get their wish.
