I don't know where guys like draper come up with 10k. I'm 38 and nobody I know has ever owned or used a Bitcoin. I recognize its fee free instant money transfer, but it seem to fluctuate too much to be reliable. I doubt it goes away, but more than an ounce of gold? No way.

There is a max of 21M, and more companies are accepting it. It's going to rise, the question is... can a company prevail until it does increase?
