nope. Vizio has an app interface as well, and apps are downloaded from that app launcher. Whether that's the only apps Vizio can run isn't as clearly described as Samsung. Vizio pushes the 'updates' of apps already on your set, it doesn't load new apps automatically, that is still up to the user. The owner selects which apps goes on his TV, the manufacturer doesn't 'rollout' random apps.
However, one can use their ipad to download uf onto, then use uf to play media to the Vizio or Samsung and the app would come up as if loaded on the TV.
