...from the trenches...While it is off-subject today....further discovered my comment on cost cutting advantage of Overland "tape" storage was as much as 80%...that was incorrect and I stand corrected with extreme embarrassment...
...with financial (banking/insurance/title etc), government and medical storage records where vast libraries of information need to be stored .... the savings range is 95-97%...on a cost per terabit basis...with same access speed...
example... 2.6 terabits of standard disk storage could cost up to $2000 - $3000...with Overland "tape" storage ... $50.00. Who would not want to move these vasts libraries over to tape once they learn of the savings?
