Night time power demand has always been the Achilles heel of Solar Power.

but they don't have a long life expectancy. And to power a home you need a lot of expensive batteries.

You can make them last 15 years. Possibility the rest of my life. :-)
And with batteries dropping 7% per year, they will be cheaper down the road. Looking at $100 per KWH. Like I said try and do the heavy work during the day......
