Mr. Joel A. Shapiro, also known as Jake, has been Chief Executive Officer of Moon River Studios, Inc. (formerly Medient Studios, Inc.) since June 2014. Mr. Shapiro served as President, Task Leader & Head of Corporate Finance at Moon River Studios, Inc. He was the Founder of Big Jake Music Inc. He is a multi decade financier and serial entrepreneur. He has served as a founder or co-founder of several technology and commercial product companies and has helped structure and/or finance companies in Asia, South America, Australia, Western Europe, Eastern Europe, and North America. Mr. Shapiro served as Chief Executive Officer of Lincoln Center Capital. He served as President of 360 Global Investments (formerly Knightsbridge Fine Wines Inc., 360 Global Wine Company) since September 1, 2005. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of 360 Viansa, LLC. Mr. Shapiro served as Chief Executive Officer of 360 Global Investments from August 1, 2003 to March 2007 and served as its Interim Chief Financial Officer. He served as Principal Accounting Officer and Principal Financial Officer of 360 Global Investments until October 18, 2005. Mr. Shapiro served as the Chairman of 360 Global Investments from August 1, 2003 to November 9, 2004 and President from August 1, 2003 to September 2004. He served as Chairman and President of Tech Net Communications Inc., and its Chief Executive Officer since August 1, 2003. He guided corporate strategy, ensuring that Tech Net Communications Inc. stay on-track to meet long-term goals. He served as Principal and Vice President from M.H. Meyerson & Company, where he served as a Senior Equities Trader, servicing clients such as Goldman Sachs, Lehman Brothers, and Deutsche Bank. He has reviewed or visited almost 100 wineries in 4 continents in his quest to build the world's best wine company. He is charged with developing, sourcing and negotiating acquisitions and strategic partnerships. Prior to joining Knightsbridge, Mr. Shapiro was President of JS Capital LLC, an east coast based finance boutique specializing in mergers & acquisitions, and public corporate finance. Since its founding, JS Capital has been engaged and financed a variety on industry non-specific companies including software production firms in Pakistan, fiber optic systems in Mexico, and five star European hotel owners and operators. JS Capital has built a strong presence in both apparel and mass media sectors, and maintains a number of Hollywood celebrity clients. He began his finance career working in 1992 working in the back offices of the investment-banking firm of M.H. Meyerson & Company. Mr. Shapiro quickly rose up the ranks from working in the operations division of M.H. Meyerson to becoming one of the youngest Senior Traders, where he executed institutional orders on behalf of Wall Streets biggest firms, including Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch, and Credit Suisse First Boston. He has been Chairman of the Board of FONU2 Inc since December 10, 2014. He served as a Director at Big Jake Music Inc. He served as a Director of 360 Global Investments since August 1, 2003. Mr. Shapiro attended Rutgers University, where he completed his studies in three years and received departmental and collegiate honors. As an undergraduate, he also attended the National University of Singapore, and through a joint venture program with Columbia University, the Shanghai Teachers College in China. Mr. Shapiro received his Bachelors of Science degree from Rutgers University and his Masters Degree in Business Administration from Rutgers University Graduate School of Business.
