The US dollar is up about ten percent this year so investments in US-denominated assets get a ten percent boost (good investments that is). The technical position of the US Dollar is strong and I wouldn't be surprised to see it go up another 5%. The fundamentals of the dollar are strong as we head into a rate-hiking cycle while a lot of other countries are cutting rates or engaging in quantitative easing.
