If the share price goes up they still don't lose. They just convert the stock and cover their short. These hedge funds have been doing this for years. Very LOW risk because these are low volume stocks. Have you noticed the increase in volume lately?
There are dozens of articles about this all that agree with my view. Perhaps you should write an artilce explaining the other side because nobody else ever has. Even the SEC has written about this. Are you saying they are wrong?
