Would he mean no set amount of experimentation?

Herein lies an explanation:

He had put forward a hypothesis. Experimentation can strengthen the likelihood that a hypothesis is correct but does not prove it. The strongest support comes if the hypothesis predicts something would happen and then it is shown that indeed that does happen (which was how his various hypotheses on relativity, space/time and the relationship between mass and energy became established). However it only takes one experiment that shows things do not work according to the hypothesis for it to be abandoned. However elegant the idea, if nature is shown not to conform then the idea is wrong.

To extrapolate further, the scientific model may have worked in the lab but the problem was the acclamation to the real world conditions of the sericulture facility.

Survival rate was announced to previously be at 30%, before we were told that it reached at least 70%.

This makes me wonder if initially they were working with less than 30% at some point in time....

How long is impossible to tell, without having access to the scientific data (and we both know that's out of the question).

I'd say it took a few years (at the least),in order to get it to where it is today.

How far they've come since Textile World's September/October issue, is anyone's guess.

Suffice to say, I believe further progress is being made.
