People. Weeks before a company that files for bankruptcy the stock price is ridiculously high. Then one day the filing takes effect and the shares cease to have value and the PPS is then zero. Why don't people sell out? People always want to have hope that the disaster will not happen. It is false hope, but hope none-the less.
