Only if they were a accomplice to the scam... I don't think they were. Though they certainly were very slow to kick Treaty out. It was Treaty's responsibility as operator to provide factual information to thier investors and the Belize Petroleum department with Princess Petroleum given a chance at reviewing and approving what was reported to the Petroleum Department. I don't think that was done with the fake oil strike... I believe Princess and the Petroleum Department found out through the news releases... Definitely not the norm in the industry.
