so you are taking the company line of "nothing can be done."
I do not and never will subscribe to that line of thinking.
There is always something that can be done.
If you cannot figure it out for yourself, bring an expert in from outside.
They could still buy shares on the open market and show some faith in their company,
for instance.
They could release an end-of-year shareholder update.
those are just two off the top of my head.
bottom line, absent evidence to the contrary, is they don't give a $hit.
