On the contrary- once other countries, starting with KSA and spreading through "the region", are using AS and seeing the kinds of results that have already been demonstrated, I think that will create pressure on the EPA to finally do something.

The culture of a regulatory agency is to say "no". That's their job, to protect the public. But once other health systems are saving lives with a technology, the mood changes, and it becomes not only acceptable, but heroic, to say "yes".

This is all speculation, but you are 1000% right that this is a major step forward.

I would love to see MZEI put 90% of their efforts in dealing
with foreign markets - Saudi Arabia, China, India, Brazil,
Japan, etc. The US is no longer the bastion of a free economy,
(thank you big liberal government). Imagine, we have an
agency that puts the environment (and that's a stretch) ahead
of lives and jobs. The EPA is just a sample of government
power that really has a total disregard to the interest of the public,
but rather is an institution that furthers the statist environment
that we find ourselves living in today. Africa, Southeast Asia,
South America, the possibilities are endless. The fact that MZEI
is dealing with Saudi Arabia does give me some hope.
