Moneta Porcupine Mines Inc. was pleased to announce the assay
results of recent drilling in December 2006 on
the Collins Zone on its Nighthawk Lake Project (100% owned)
near Timmins, Ontario.
The Nighthawk Lake property was last drilled in 1997
with encouraging results.
Prior drilling on the property consisted of 19 holes covering
a strike length of 500 metres and a vertical depth
of 375 metres.
Gold mineralization of interest was encountered in 18 of
the 19 holes with an intersection of 5.75 metres
of 9.54 grams per tonne (g/t) being indicative of
the best results (DDH #13; uncut and drilled width,
includes 26.7 g/t over 1.80 metres).
