The B shares have no voting rights but can be converted to A shares at 1 to 1 basis. Salomon has 7 million shares currently but initially had 10 million. Long ago when he first started diluting he said during the conference call he would retire them to replace the dilution of a shares. He did that for 3 million shares and then quite. He obviously didn't think he'd need to dilute 100 million shares at the time.
