We just tested the upgraded version of Trade-Ideas inside Scottrade Elite. Here are the main improvements.

1) When you save your layout, now the software remembers your Trade-Ideas window settings as part of the layout
2) You have the capability of having your own symbol lists and you can have as many as you like and modify them
3) You have the ability to save your alert window settings better and make as many custom personal strategies as you like

Hi 2,

I just read your note about collaborating. That is very cool.

I may play with some of your past posts later.

I am still trying to figure out how I want my alert window to be set with my watch list symbols. I guess the kiss method is best. On watch list am waiting for long and short opportunities, and I would like to be able to do all in one window, as opposed to having different windows for each kind of set up, ... or not.

Speaking of keeping it simple, I can see where one could way over complicate things. I was thinking over the weekend what might be some really simple alerts, for ex: being up after a down day or consolidation. With the set up I have it is difficult to go back farther than a day or so to see how it worked. So, if anyone has shared some simple ideas that worked well, I would be glad to know.

Anyway I appreciate your help. And by doin' some collaboratin' I may pick up some pointers on how you have the different alerts and filters set.
