Easy answer, every country on the planet just keeps on printing paper all day 24/7, especially Uncle Sam since 08'. What is all that paper actually worth? Lose stability and paper goes south real fast. Ours is overvalued. This free enterprise Bakken oil thing will come back to haunt us too. The gold bugs may be right, we will have a period of deflation which has finally already started, then hyper-inflation will come on with vengeance.
