Well not hardly. Tenants sign a lease which clearly defines the rent and all other terms of occupancy. There is nothing wrong with collecting what is owed and agreed upon by both parties. BTW, we don't force anyone to lease from us. They do it on there own free will. On those security deposits, we rarely withhold those since we qualify our tenants very well before we lease to them. Sorry to burst your hate bubble on these issues but the contract is in place so neither party can "screw" the other.

We have many long time tenants because we are fair, maintain their space and work with them when they have temporary setbacks financially or otherwise. Our philosophy is long term based and "screwing" others does not fit our model.

You can be honest and still be successful, it just takes longer to get there.
