I saw that price as well in one of their pdf's given as a comparison. More recently, they denoted the price as being roughly 2 million in news releases and in their corporate summary ( http://ener-core.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/Ener-Core-Executive-Summary-090914.pdf ), so I would have to either assume that five million price tag is out of date or otherwise incorrect. What I find funny is even the 5 million price tag was competitive in comparison to other turbines without our gradual oxidizer installed and utilizing that wasted energy.
Also of note: while it may fly under most peoples' radar, Ian Copeland is an excellent addition to the board with immense energy station development experience and far reaching industry connections.
