Baja Mining Corp. (TSX: V.BAJ, Stock Forum) shares eased 10% to 4.5 cents Friday in active trading.
The company says it has been advised by Minera y Metalurgica del Boleo, S.A. P.I. de C.V. (MMB) and Korea Resources Corp. that MMB has issued a US$105 million corporate bond with a fixed annual interest rate of 0.75%, with repayment due on November 12, 2019.
The bond was arranged to fund the startup of the Boleo Project in Mexico and is backed by is backed by a Korea Resources guarantee, which was swapped for a US$105 million bond with a fixed annual interest rate of 2.69%.
Baja said in a press release that MMB has further advised the company that it has used approximately US$50 million of bond proceeds to repay in full the US$50 million corporate bank loan bearing interest at LIBOR plus 0.8%
