Yeah, as seen below from www.otcbb.com in checking the daily gainers list there are always a couple every day that have a tens of thousands % rise. Most times the volume is super small and many of them are on the Grey Market which means they have no bid or ask listed. Often someone just places a couple shares trade to put the price up that high but the odds of ever getting in low and out high are slim to none. I think many times it is someone holding that does that just to make their portfolio look good for a day or possibly trying to draw attention to the stock by showing a large rise in hopes others will look at it. Just a couple thoughts. Every now and again I have seen a trade go thru like you mentioned using DROP as an example at a really high pps. That is why it is always important to never use a market order on penny stocks but only a limit order as in a fluke situation you could get sold out at a high level if things line up right but it is rare.
