how should the backtest proceed after LD-AIM sells all real shares, which is what seems to have happened in late 2005? I suppose that one immediately starts a new LD-AIM program with the same settings, right?

Actually, no, not immediately.
In my case I did sell out in late 05 as well.
I waited for the price to come down, but it continued to get higher. So finally in February of 05 after a little dip I started a new program, unfortunately at a higher price than my sellout price.

So maybe the answer is to wait until there's a Buy signal, like a crossover of the W%r.

But I would use the proceeds from the prior program which would make it bigger to begin with. Same # of Sells and Buys, same settings as well.
